ABOUT KIRIN
My mission is to create kimonos that merge tradition with modernity — where craftsmanship meets individuality, and art meets function. Each piece is a unique piece designed to tell a story. Yours.
At the heart of BY KIRIN is authenticity. Every kimono is a reflection of identity — real, raw, and unapologetically personal. I treat fashion as a form of art, and the kimono is my canvas. It’s about creating something that feels like freedom — garments that move with you, not define you.
My vision is bold self-expression. I design for those who are unafraid to be seen, to be heard, to take up space. BY KIRIN is for individuals who wear their story with pride.
HOW DID IT STARTED?
After enriching experiences in Atlanta, New York, and Milan, I returned to Krakow to realize my dream: creating a personal brand that reinterprets the Japanese kimono through a modern, artistic lens. The turning point? A visit to the Manggha Museum, where an exhibition of traditional Japanese kimonos sparked something undeniable. In that moment, I knew—I had found my niche.
Within a year, I taught myself to sew, debuted as a designer at Kraków Fashion Week, and collaborated with local artists to stage my first independent fashion performance—showcasing over 40 kimono-inspired designs. And just like that, BY KIRIN was born—a dream brought to life, rooted in the elegance and heritage of the Japanese kimono.
The name Kirin is no accident. In Japanese mythology, the Kirin is a rare, mystical creature—the Eastern counterpart to the unicorn (which, by the way, you’ll spot plenty of on my Instagram!). Like the Kirin itself, the brand stands for rarity, artistry, and a seamless blend of tradition and contemporary vision.

FASHION SHOW
BY KIRIN Artistic Fashion Performance – 25.11.2024, Hedwig’s Bar, Stradom House
An immersive artistic fashion performance, where couture met creativity in a multi-sensory experience. Held in the elegant Hedwig’s Bar at Stradom House, Poland’s most luxurious hotel, the event engaged local professional artists and brought together international guests. A fusion of movement, sound, and visual storytelling, the show redefined the boundaries of fashion, celebrating the essence of slow couture and artistic expression. Each kimono became a canvas, transforming the space into a living gallery of design, culture, and emotion.
